A private Kenya safari typically costs USD 350–650 per person per day for comfortable mid-range travel, while luxury safaris generally start from USD 700–1,500+ per person per day. Prices depend on the season, group size, accommodation and whether internal flights are included. Your tailored quotation will clearly show all included services and costs.
Allow seven to ten days for a well-paced Kenya safari. Seven days can combine the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli, while nine or ten days gives you time to include Samburu, Ol Pejeta or Lake Nakuru without rushing between destinations. Shorter three-to-five-day Maasai Mara safaris are also possible.
Kenya offers rewarding wildlife viewing throughout the year. July to October brings dry conditions and the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara, while January to March offers warm weather, excellent game viewing and fewer visitors. The greener months can provide lower rates, beautiful scenery and outstanding birdlife.
The migrating herds usually reach the Maasai Mara between July and October, with river-crossing opportunities commonly strongest from late July through September. Wildlife movements depend on rainfall, so crossings cannot be guaranteed on a particular day. We recommend several nights in the Mara to improve your overall migration experience.
Yes. Kenya and Tanzania combine beautifully, linking the Maasai Mara with the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire or Zanzibar. We generally recommend 10–14 days for a comfortable two-country safari and arrange the accommodation, transfers, border logistics and regional flights as one connected journey. Scheduled flights and road-border routes connect the two safari circuits.
