East Africa safari costs vary by destination, season, accommodation style and trip length. As a guide, private tailor-made safaris can start from around USD 400–600 per person per day, while luxury journeys may exceed USD 1,000 per person per day. Multi-country safaris can cost more due to regional flights, park fees and additional logistics. SafariHQ tailors each journey to your travel style and budget.

East Africa offers excellent safari experiences year-round. June to October is popular for dry-season wildlife viewing and the Great Migration river crossings in northern Tanzania and Kenya. January to March is excellent for Tanzania's southern Serengeti calving season, while other months can offer fewer visitors, beautiful landscapes and excellent value. The best time depends on where you want to go and what you hope to see.

Tanzania and Kenya are one of the most popular East Africa safari combinations, connecting destinations such as the Serengeti and Masai Mara.
