The best safari company ever! We did 7 days across Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. The best trip of my life. The organisation from SafariHQ was amazing and the guides were incredible! Our guide Daniel was so kind, patient and super knowledgeable on all the animals and plants. We saw so many animals and Daniel was an excellent spotter. He is a super driver and we got amazing views of all the animals. I will definitely be doing another safari with SafariHQ. 8 Days Tanzania Safari
Our guide Emmanuel was absolutely amazing. I felt he went above and beyond to make sure we saw every animal there was to see in Ngorongoro Carter and Lake Manyara National Park. Not only did we get to see the animals, we also so amazing flora, scenery and Emmanuel was full of knowledge about the area, people and animals. Overall our time in Tanzania was made exceptionally better because of the guides we had. Emmanuel was absolutely brilliant to make sure we had good viewing of all sights and animals. No task was to hard. He was friendly, polite, and I felt very safe in his company.

3 night private Masai Mara NP
We were met by Simon from Safari HQ upon arrival in Nairobi and taken to our hotel which was s great way to start our Kenyan experience. Early the next morning, we were collected by Steve our Safari driver in our Safari vehicle for the long drive to the Zebra Valley Mara Lodge located adjacent to the Masai Mara National Game Reserve. Over the next 3 days, we enjoyed a series of fantastic early morning and late afternoon game Safari drives. Steve our driver was exceptional. Being an ex park ranger, his knowledge of the game reserve, the flora and fauna was fantastic. Given the condition of the roads, Steve was never in a rush and always allowed plenty of time to get us some great opportunities to view the amazing wildlife in the Mara reserve. We were extremely privileged that Steve manage to find great sighting / viewings of Elephants, Hippos, Giraffes, Ostriches, Lions, Cheetahs, numerous types of antelopes, Nile crocodiles, Wilderbeast, Zebras – the list goes on. Highlights included lunch under an Umbrella Acacia tree inside the game park. Given were on a 4 person private game Safari, Safari HQ and our Driver Steve were fantastic and the experience provided certainly exceeded our expectations.

7 Day Tanzania Safari
We spent three days in the Ngorongoro conservation area, three days in the Serengeti National Park and one day in the Lake Manyara National Park. We did our safari with Safari HQ. Our guide Emmanuel, was amazing. Not only was he a skilled Driver over the rugged and extremely challenging terrain, he knew exactly the right spots and angles to enable us to get the most spectacular photos. We saw the big five and much, much more many times over. I can only say it was a totally immersive and life changing experience. I would recommend Safari HQ and Emanuel in particular, to anyone wishing to undertake a Safari in Africa.

A scheduled small-group safari follows a pre-planned itinerary on selected departure dates. You share the safari vehicle and professional guide with fellow travellers, while accommodation, park fees, transfers and daily logistics are arranged in advance as detailed in the itinerary.

Unlike a private safari, the route and daily schedule cannot be redesigned around one booking. The benefit is better per-person value, straightforward planning and a sociable way to explore Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda or more than one East African country.

The price depends on the country, safari length, accommodation level, travel season, park fees and whether the itinerary includes internal flights or gorilla permits.

In Kenya, the currently listed 8-day Kenya Highlights group safari starts from USD 2,760 per person. Tanzania migration departures vary according to the season, route and whether accommodation is camping, tented camps or lodges. Longer Tanzania and Kenya circuits or Tanzania and Rwanda gorilla journeys cost more.

Sharing the vehicle and guide reduces the per-person cost, but park fees, accommodation, flights and permits are still charged individually. Always compare the complete inclusions rather than price alone.

Yes. Scheduled small-group safaris are particularly suitable for solo travellers because you reserve one place on the departure instead of paying for an entire private vehicle and guide.

Accommodation prices are often based on two people sharing. A single-room supplement may therefore apply, although selected departures may offer a twin-share arrangement. Before booking, we confirm your room type, any single supplement, the departure status and the travellers already joining the group.

The total group size varies by departure and should be displayed on each itinerary. Where the overall group is larger than one safari vehicle can comfortably accommodate, travellers are divided between multiple 4×4 vehicles.

Before payment, we can confirm the total number of guests, passengers allocated to each vehicle and the rooming arrangements. This ensures you understand the available space, game-viewing position and overall style of the journey before reserving your place.

Some departures are already confirmed, while others require a minimum number of travellers before they can operate. We confirm the departure status, remaining places and any minimum-participation requirement before you commit.

We recommend waiting for written departure confirmation before purchasing non-refundable international flights. If your preferred date is not yet confirmed, we can suggest the nearest confirmed departure or prepare a private safari alternative for your dates.

Yes. SafariHQ offers scheduled journeys combining Tanzania’s Serengeti and Great Migration with mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda. These cross-border itineraries coordinate the regional flights or transfers, safari accommodation, game drives and gorilla trekking arrangements within one journey.

Gorilla permits are limited and issued for a specific trekking date, so these departures should be reserved well in advance. We will confirm the permit, complete route, accommodation and included services before finalising your booking.
