Peak Wildlife Season
Dry conditions draw large elephant herds and other animals towards the Tarangire River. This is the best period for concentrated wildlife viewing.

Short Rains
The short rains refresh the park and encourage some animals to move away from the river. Visitor numbers decline as the landscape becomes greener.
